If want to make a difference at your school the Alliance for a Healthier Generation has the tools you need. Check the link below and before you know if you'll be ready to:
- Ask your peers to sign a petition requesting healthier food options at your school.
- Use your school newspaper, newsletter, and/or bulletin boards to help raise awareness about healthy eating and physical activity.
- Find out what other students in your school like to eat and what new foods they would like to see in the cafeteria.
- Talk to your school food service department and your physical education and health teachers to find out what is being done to increase physical activity and improve access to fruits and veggies. Share ideas with them on what else could be done.

Think Your Drink
Find out how much sugar is in your favorite beverage.
What you'll need:
- Beverage bottles with labels
- Pen or pencil
- Sugar
- Measuring Spoons
- Paper cups or bowls
Look at your label and record:
| Number of servings in your can or bottle: | |
| The grams of sugar per serving: | g |
Calculate:
| Total grams of sugar: (number of servings X number grams of sugar per serving) |

| Teaspoons of sugar: (divide total grams of sugar by 4) |

See it with your own eyes!
Use your measuring spoons to measure out the number of teaspoons of sugar in your drink. Place sugar in cup or bowl.
