Panel of Experts
- Pat Degon, M.Ed. is the director of health, physcial education and family and consumer science for a public school system. She also is providing technical assistance for the Massachusetts Action for Healthy Kids Gold Medal project for the MetroWest area.
- Wendy Doremus, RN, MS, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, has been a school nurse for 16 years, and serves as a school nurse leader in the Westborough Public Schools.
- Dr. Nupur Gupta, MD, MPH is the medical director at Milford's Tri-County Center for Adolescent Health. Her specialties include adolescent eating disorders and obesity.
- Kyle McInnis, Sc.D., is a professor and Chair of the Department of Exercise and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. He is currently on the YMCA of the USA Medical Advisory Board and is working with the MetroWest YMCA and Greater Worcester YMCA in Massachusetts on their youth obesity initiatives.
- Alison Rainey, MS, RD, LDN, Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Educator, works with MetroWest schools and community groups to support wellness and obesity prevention programs. She also provides training and technical assistance to the MetroWest Community Health Care Foundation Childhood Obesity grantees.
- Dr. Jerry Wortzman, MD, MM is the Chair of Pediatrics at MetroWest Medical Center. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Family/Community Medicine and the Director of the Pediatric Clinic at MetroWest Medical Center.
